Globsyn Skills, claimed to be the first skills institute in the country, had tied up with Ernst & Young for exporting skill council certified trainers to Bangladesh.
"We are the first company in the country to export sector skill council (SSC) certified trainers taking forward the Prime Minister's vision," Globsyn Skills Development managing director Rahul Dasgupta said here today.
He said they have signed an MoU with Ernst and Young (E&Y) for export of 50 certified trainers in IT/ITeS and behaviour and communication skill by December.
"Seven trainers have already travelled to Bangladesh and more will follow," Dasgupta said adding, the export was part of a World Bank project in Bangladesh for skill development executed by E&Y.
He said they were also into informal talks with E&Y for taking export of certified trainers from India to other emerging markets.
Globsyn Skills is a JV between city based Globsysn group and National Skill Development Corporation. NSDC holds 23 per cent in the venture, which aims to groom 3.52 lakh youths by 2022.
Dasgupta said the cumulative number of students would be 65,000 since inception and in FY 16' the company has embarked on an ambitious target of 50,000 students.
