GMR Aviation Academy,RGNAU to offer post graduate diploma prog

GMR Aviation Academy and Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) today inked a preliminary pact for offering a post graduate diploma programme.
They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for offering a one-year joint post graduate diploma in 'aviation/ airport operations'.
"The objective of the MoU is to facilitate and promote professional aviation studies and provide in-depth knowledge of the functioning of an airport in particular and the aviation subsets in general," GMR group said in a release today.
There will also be on-the-job training as part of the course.
"It is estimated that the aviation industry in India will require close to 1 million skilled personnel over the next 10-15 years which will pose a great challenge if adequate number of people are not trained in this highly specialised and complex area," GMR Airports' whole time director P S Nair said.

GMR Aviation Academy and GMR Airports are part of the diversified GMR group.
