Goa Assembly polls: GFP in talks with Cong for an alliance
Press Trust of India Panaji The Goa Forward Party (GFP) today said they are in talks with Congress for an alliance ahead of the State Legislative Assembly elections slated next year.
"The senior leaders are in talks with the Congress High Command for a pre-poll alliance," GFP spokesperson Durgadas Kamat told reporters here.
"For now, the GFP on its own has geared up to contest on 20 seats," he added.
According to the spokesperson, the party will announce its 20 candidates in November.
Kamat claimed that many new faces are joining the party.
