"We will soon have special ladies desk at all the police stations. This is to provide better service to women's complainants," Parsekar said after inaugurating a police station building at Pernem in North Goa.
He said around 300 lady police personnel will be deployed within six months in the state and the recruitment process has already begun.
After recruitment, the Chief Minister said, complaints filed by women will be attended by female PSI and constables.
Parsekar also said that the new premises (in Pernem) will boost the efficiency of the police department and it will help cops to provide better service to the citizens, thus restoring their faith in the department.
