Motorcyclists from around the country, particularly those owning Royal Enfields are set to participate in the 11th edition of the 'Rider Mania 2014 Festival' at the scenic sand-tuned beaches of Goa.
The motorcycling extravaganza is scheduled to kick off from November 21 with some five thousand bikers expected to join the three days of music, mirth and odd riding skills at Vagator in Goa.
"Rider Mania 2014 at Vagator is one of the most definitive motorcycling festival in India. We have more than 3,470 riders who have already registered and over the days we expect more than 5000 riders to join," Royal Enfield spokesperson told PTI.
"We have highest number of registrations from Bangalore (651), closely followed by Pune (560) and Mumbai (490). Some 100 bikers each from Navi Mumbai, Thane and New Delhi have also registered for the event," he added.
Organised by the two-wheeler motorbike company Royal Enfield, the event is one of the leading motorcycling festival in India where one can see the various ways in which people celebrate motorcycling through music, art, photography, tattoo making, and lifestyle apart from the various competitive and fun events organised for riders and participants.
The festival has an exhaustive line up of motorcycling events, which include Trials, Dirt Track Racing, Slow Race and Assembly Wars that will be held under floodlights.
The organisers have also organised special sessions on photography and motorcycling trails.
Custom-made motorcycles designed exclusively for Rider Mania, which has now become a permanent fixture at the event, will be on display at a special enclosure inside the venue.
There will also be a competition to pick and award the best custom bike of Rider Mania 2014.
The will host performances from famed bands like Papon and the East India Company, Nucleya and Vir Das' Alien Chutney and Skrat.
