Godda, Panki bypoll on May 16

Bypoll for Godda and Panki Assembly constituencies in Jharkhand will be held on May 16.
The by-elections were necessitated following deaths of Bidesh Singh, who represented Congress from Panki, and Raghunanand Mandal, who represented BJP from Godda.
Singh died on March 28, while Mandal passed away on January 3.
Notification will be issued on April 22, while counting of votes will take place on May 19 along with counting of votes for Assembly elections being held in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry, according to an Election Commission announcement today.
