Gogoi asks IIT-G to suggest ways to stop road accidents

The Assam Government has asked the IIT-Guwahati to suggest ways and means for curbing the growing menace of road accidents in the state.
Expressing concern about rising road accidents in Assam, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said the Government has asked IIT-G to come up with a comprehensive plan to curb the menace, according to an official release today.
"Our Government has viewed seriously the rising incidents of road accidents taking place in different parts of the state leading to loss of scores of precious lives," the release said quoting Gogoi.
