Felicitating her at his residence here Gogoi said Proneeta's achievement has not only brought laurels to Assam but also inspired and motivated the young generation.
Proneeta thanked the people of the state, audiences, well-wishers and media for extending support to her which helped her to bag the coveted honour at the national level.
She attributed her success to the inspiration of her parents, her dance guru Punit Pathak and hard work.
The 22-year-old girl had walked away recently with the coveted "Sunheri Taqdeer Ki Topi" title after beating Nirmal Tamang from Nepal and Jodhpur boy Sahil Adaniya in the grand finale of the dance reality show judged by Gaiti Siddiqui, Punit Pathak and Mudassar Khan along with Bollywood actor and grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty.
