The 'Vizianagaram Utsav' began with the flagging off a rally by Andhra Pradesh MinisterKimidi Mrunalini at Fort premises. A larger number of people and cultural troupes took part in the rally that culminatedat Ananda Gajapathi Auditorium.
The annual event highlights the rich art, culture and traditions of this northern coastal district of Andhra Pradesh.
A food festival and exhibition of farm tools, flower show, cattle show, book exhibition, sports meet, drama and 'rangoli' (art work using colours) competitions, among others, are the events being organised at part of the festival.
