A portion of shares sold were acquired by Goldman Sachs' Singapore entity, while the identity of other buyers could not be ascertained immediately.
As per information available with the stock exchanges, Golboot Holdings sold 1,1,791,948 shares representing 1.91 per cent stake in Mahindra & Mahindra.
The shares were offloaded on an average price of Rs 1,161.23 apiece valuing the transaction at Rs 1,369.32 crore.
Besides, Goldman Sachs Singapore PTE picked up 38.90 lakh shares of the auto major for about Rs 451.63 crore.
