Ramesh Kumar, who landed from Singapore, and Jagadish, Harish Kumar, Kishore and Jayaram, who arrived from Bangkok, here late last night were subjected to a thorough check by customs officials following their suspicious movement.
They were found to be carrying gold by concealing it in their rectums, police said, adding that the seizure was valued at Rs 52 lakh.
All the five have been detained.
