The 70-year-old actress, who is returning to the big screen for the first time since 2002, said she is excited about the project, reported Entertainment Weekly.
"We're getting ready to play a really, really funny movie together. I'm extremely excited about it. It's going to be a blast!," Hawn said.
The "Cactus Flower" star said there is no better person to collaborate with than Amy Schumer.
"She's amazing. I just can't think of a better movie than doing this with Amy. Two women lost in the jungle. It's going to be so much fun! I love her very much," she said.
Hawn last starred in the 2002 film "The Banger Sisters".
