"We have asked for speedy transfer of all departments falling under the GTA territory involving 18 mouzas," GJM General Secretary Rosan Giri said after meeting state Chief Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Home Secretary Basudeb Banerjee.
He said a GJM delegation also demanded withdrawal of all cases against partymen registered during its movement in the Darjeeling hills.
The GJM has demanded that forests should also come under the Gorkha Territorial Administration, Giri said. He said the chief secretary sought a concrete proposal from the GJM on the division of existing blocks.
R D Meena is expected to take over as the chief secretary of GTA, he added.
