Goundnut oil firm-up on steady demand

Groundnut oil prices continued its uptrend at the oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on steady demand from stockists and retailers amid lower arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein fell owing to lack of retail buying support.
Linseed oil dropped on subdued demand from paint and allied industries.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial ruled stable in the absence of major buying.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil gained by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,235 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,230, while refined palmolein slid by a Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 569 as against Rs 574 previously.

Moving to the non-edible segment, linseed oil dipped by Rs 50 per 10 kg to Rs 1,200 from overnight close of Rs 1,250.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 3,200 per 100 kg and Rs 670 per 10 kg, respectively.
