Vohra briefed the President regarding all important issues relating to the State particularly security situation, an official spokesman said.
The President, on a two day visit to the State, presided over the 14th Convocation of the Jammu University here.
The Governor apprised Mukherjee about obtaining and emerging internal and external security situation, status of various important socio-economic development schemes and programmes, issues of governance and the challenges facing the education and health sectors, the spokesman said.
The President was received at the Technical Airport by the Governor, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand and Cabinet Ministers A R Rather and Sham Lal Sharma besides Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, GOC Northern Command Lt Gen, D S Hooda, DGP, K Rajendra, Deputy Commissioner and SSP, Jammu.
