"The Governor in a letter to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley requested him to urgently release funds due to the state," an official spokesperson said.
Vohra sought the minister's intervention to release Rs 800 crore for providing interest subvention to traders and business enterprises affected by the floods, he said.
He also asked Jaitley to release the last installment of the state's share in Central Taxes (2015-16), besides Rs 649 crore due as last installment under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Rs 305 crore under MGNREGA, the spokesperson said.
