Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra Thursday requested the Centre to work out specific plans to promote tourism in the state.
The governor called on Union Minister of State for Tourism K J Alphons in the national capital and requested for commissioning of eco friendly, tourist friendly and socially beneficial projects, an official release said here.
Mishra emphasised on holistic approach in harnessing the tourism potential of the state.
The governor who recently visited the Parsuram Kund in Lohit district and had a meeting with head priest, impressed upon the Union minister for holistic development of the kund to promote spiritualism and age-old values, while keeping the Indian culture and traditions of the Kund undisturbed.
