The trio had quit earlier this month expressing their reservations on being part of the FTII Society in the wake of students' protests over the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the President of the Society and Chairman of its Governing Council.
"The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has accepted the resignations of the three members," a senior official told PTI.
The ministry had on June 9 reconstituted the FTII society for a period of three years.
However protests in the institute began after many among its students and alumni questioning the appointment of Chauhan as its head saying that the institute should be headed by someone who has stature and vision.
