Govt aims to provide better air connectivity to Rajasthan:

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha today said the Centre was making efforts to provide better air connectivity to Rajasthan to boost domestic and foreign tourist arrivals in the state.
The minister said the government is aiming at providing air connectivity to all major cities of the state.
Recently, Bikaner was directly connected to New Delhi and today we are throwing open the newly constructed Kishangarh Airport for flight services, Sinha told reporters after inaugurating the airport.
He said expansion of air services in the state will boost religious tourism.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje accompanied Sinha at the inauguration ceremony of the airport located nearly 105 km from Jaipur.

The airport will connect religious destinations such as Pushkar and Ajmer Dargah which record a large number of domestic and international arrivals.
It is a low-cost but advanced airport with facilities of domestic and international airports elsewhere in the country, he said.
The terminal building has six check-in counters. A four- lane road will connect it to the National Highway-8, a public relation officer of the government said.
