Govt doctor arrested for taking bribe for operation

A government doctor was today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe from a man for performing his wife's operation.
Dr Akhilesh Srivastava, Chief Medical Officer of Babu Raj Bahadur Government Hospital, had allegedly taken Rs 15,000 from Roop Kishore for carrying out his wife's operation, said Officiating SP of ACB Mahavir Singh Ranawat.
After verification of the complaint, the accused was nabbed by a team of the ACB at his house, he said.
Later, he complained of uneasiness and was admitted to hospital, he added.
