Govt proposes tourism activities on 420 acres beneath dam
Press Trust of India Bangalore Karnataka government has proposed to develop 420 acres of vacant land beneath the Hemavathy dam to promote tourism-related activities on built, operate and transfer basis.
In this connection, feasibility report and a model concession agreement has been prepared by state-run Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd, Water Resources Minister M B Patil said in a written reply to a question in the Legislative Assembly.
Economic viability of such an initiative is being explored, he said.
