The Kerala High Court today directed the state government to inform its views on a petition seeking the court's intervention in the August 12 LDF sponsored secretariat siege as part its agitation for the resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy over the solar panel scam.
The petition was filed by Peoples Forum, an NGO, General Secretary Sreekumar S Menon complaining that the call of LDF was in violation of law relating to holding of demonstrations in public pathways.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and justice A M Shafique declined to pass any interim order today.
The petitioner also sought to deploy paramilitary force to face the situation.
