The posts fell vacant after members S N Dhingra and Geeta Gouri retired earlier this year.
Applications have been sought by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, which administers the CCI, by July 24, according to a notice on the fair trade watchdog's website.
A member of the CCI can hold office for five years or until the age of 65.
Candidates should have special knowledge of and at least 15 years of professional experience in international trade, economics, business, commerce, law, finance, accountancy, management, industry, public affairs or competition matters, including competition law and policy.
