The awareness programme will be chaired by Sanjay Kothari, Secretary of the Department of Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare.
The department is proposing to conduct awareness programme for pensioners in and around Jalandhar (Punjab) on March 1, a press release issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.
"The mobilisation of the pensioners will be done in association with All India Central Government Pensioners Association, Jalandhar city," it said.
The basic objective of the project is to facilitate redressal of pensioners' grievances as also to provide information and guidance to them on various pension and retirement related matters.
