A programme is expected to be held during the last week of October where all the concerned departments including the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) will discuss the ways to further push the manufacturing sector's growth, an official said.
The initiative launched on September 25 last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aimed at making India an global manufacturing hub and create millions of jobs.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country has witnessed a 48 per cent jump in the seven-month period (October 2014 to April 2015) after the launch of the campaign.
The official said that there is plan to invite state government officials besides industry representatives for their participation in the deliberations.
In the last one year, the government had announced several steps to improve ease of doing business and attract foreign direct investment into the country.
FDI increased by 31 per cent to USD 9.50 billion during April-June this fiscal.
