Gram, its dal climb Rs 600 per qtl on speculative buying

A steep rise of Rs 600 per quintal in gram and its dal prices, featured trading at the wholesale pulses market today largely on speculative buying activity, triggered by paucity of stocks against surging demand from dal mill.
Kabli gram small also ended higher on uptick in demand.
Traders said speculative buying, triggered by paucity of ready stocks in the market against rising demand from dal mill mainly pushed up gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality soared by Rs 600 each to Rs 11,000-11,200, Rs 11,200-11,500 and Rs 11,600-11,700 per quintal respectively.

Kabli gram small variety also edged up to Rs 10,000-10,800 from previous level of Rs 9,900-10,300 per quintal.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani too quoted higher at Rs 4,700 each instead of Rs 4,300 each per 35 kg bag.
