Gram, its dal moves up on buying by stockists

Gram and its dal prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased buying by stockists following upsurge in demand from retailers against tight stocks position.
However, moong met with resistance at prevailing levels and finished lower.
Marketmen said increased buying by stockists on the back of rising demand from retailers against paucity of stocks on fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-6,950, Rs 6,650-6,950 and Rs 7,100-7,200 per quintal, respectively.
Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani followed suit and quoted higher at Rs 3,000 each instead of Rs 2,900 per 35 kg bag.
On the other hand, moong and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,200-6,800 and Rs 6,750-7,150 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,150-7,650 and Rs 7,650-7,850 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 6,050-6,350, bold Rs 6,100-6,400, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,600-7,100, best quality Rs 6,700-7,200, Malka local Rs 7,000-7,300, best Rs 7,100-7,400, Moth Rs 5,500-5,900, Arhar Rs 9,200, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 12,100-13,800.
Gram Rs 6,300-6,950, Gram dal (local) Rs 6,650-6,950, best quality Rs 7,100-7,200, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,000,Rajdhani Rs 3,000, Rajma Chitra Rs 5,600-6,950, Kabuli Gram small Rs 7,500-9,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 3,400-3,425 and green Rs 3,600-3,700.
