The accused official, Lokendra Dutt Sharma, posted in Nareli panchayat in Mandal Tehsil of Bhilwara, had demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a contractor to clear his pending bills amounting Rs 6 lakh, IG ACB Hawa Singh said.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was held while accepting the bribe, Singh said.
The ACB sleuths also recovered an unaccounted cash of Rs 1.28 lakh following a search of his house, the IG added.
