Gram, urad slide on sluggish demand

Prices of gram and urad fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on the back of easing demand from retailers and dal mills.
Traders said said besides fall in demand from retailers and dal mills, sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in gram and urad prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,950-3,950, Rs 4,000-4,400 and Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal, respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka local also declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,800-5,100 and Rs 4,700-4,800 per quintal, respectively.

Its dal best quality and dhoya too enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 4,800-5,300 and Rs 5,200-5,400 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small Rs 3,500-3,650, bold Rs 3,600-3,750, Dal Masoor local Rs 3,700-4,100, best quality Rs 3,800-4,200, Malka local Rs 4,000-4,200, best Rs 4,100-4,400, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 4,200 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,100-8,000.
