'Grimm' canceled by NBC after upcoming final season

NBC network has decided to cancel fantasy drama "Grimm" after the upcoming season six.
Announcing the premiere date for the new season the network stated "the final season" will begin on January 6, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The season will have 13 episodes with the finale chapter following the battle between Nick (David Giuntol) and Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz).
Apart from Giutol and Roiz, the final season of the show also stars Claire Coffee, Silas Weir Mitchel, Bree Turner, Bitsie Tulloch, Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee.
"Grimm" has been a steady Friday night staple for NBC, hitting the 100-episode mark last season.
The series created by David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf, and Stephen Carpenter was launched in 2011.
