Groundnut, cottonseed oils up on demand from retailers

Prices of groundnut and cottonseed oils moved up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to a pick-up in demand from retailers.
Linseed oil also traded higher on scattered enquiries from consuming industries.
Marketmen said pick-up in retailers demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in groundnut and cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 8,750 and Rs 5,650 per quintal respectively.
Among non-edibles, linseed oil edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 8,450 per quintal on fresh enquiries from paint industries.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,750, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,600-1,650, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,200, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,100, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,700, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,400, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,650, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,750, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,650 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,375-2,425.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,450, Castor Rs 9,950-10,050, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
