Barring a rise in groundnut oil prices on increased offtake by stockists following renewed demand from retailers, other edible oils held steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered support.
Linseed oil in the non-edible section, also showed some strength on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said renewed demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly helped groundnut oil prices to rise.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil traded higher by Rs 100 to Rs 9,100 per quintal.
