Groundnut oil surged at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
Elsewhere, refined palmolein recovered due to good demand from retailers.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also rebounded modestly following renewed demand from soaps and shippers industries.
However, linseeds oil slipped owing to sluggish demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edibles segment, groundnut oil moved up by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 865 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 860 and refined palmolein edged up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 680 as against Rs 678 yesterday.
Moving to non-edibles section, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 4,400 as compared Rs 4,390 previously and castoroil commercial was marginally up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 910 from Rs 908.
Linseeds oil declined by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 860 as against Rs 870.
