Groundnutoil firms up on good demand

Groundnutoil firmed up in an otherwise fairly active oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to good demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.
While, refined palmolein slipped on lower offtake from retailers.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also rose further owing to sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil gained further following persistent demand from paint and allied industries.
Turning to edible segment, groundnutoil gained by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 955 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 950. However, refined palmolein eased by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 548 from Rs 552.

In non-edible section, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,150 from previous closing level of Rs 3,100 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 660 from 650.
Linseed oil also went up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 865 as compared to Rs 860 last weekend.
