Guar gum futures turn weak; down Rs 109 per quintal

Guar gum prices fell by Rs 109 to Rs 8,283 per quintal in futures trade today as traders preferred to book profits at existing higher levels, driven by weak domestic and export demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum to be delivered in November month slumped by Rs 109 or 1.30 per cent to Rs 8,283 per quintal, with an open interest of 13,455 lots.
Also, the delivery for most-active October month dropped by Rs 99 or 1.20 per cent to Rs 8,173 per quintal, in an open interest of 42,090 lots.
