Guar gum futures up Rs 65 per quintal
Press Trust of India New Delhi Guar gum prices went up by Rs 65 to Rs 9,850 per quintal in futures trade today as investors created fresh positions in tune with upbeat sentiments at the physical markets and robust export demand. According to marketmen, a firm trend at the physical markets on restricted arrivals of guar seed from growing regions amid pick up in export demand, attributed the rise in guar gum prices at futures trade here. At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum for delivery in far-month April contracts advanced by Rs 65 or 0.66 per cent to Rs 9,850 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 8,375 lots. Similarly, the most-traded delivery in March contracts improved by Rs 63 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 9,720 per quintal with an open interest of 69,380 lots.
