Guards found dead outside thermal power plant in UP

Two security guards deployed at a thermal power plant were found dead under suspicious circumstances in the wee hours today.
Madan Pal Verma (38) and Mukesh Misra (35) of a private security company deployed at the pipeline outside the power plant on the Shahjahanpur- Hardoi road were found in a nearby culvert, police said.
Both were rushed to hospital, while Verma was declared brought dead Mishra died in the hospital, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem and details of the cause of death will be known only after getting the report, police said.
Meanwhile, the locals staged a protest alleging that they had been murdered in the power plant and their bodies thrown out.

The plant administration has provided an ex-gratia of Rs. five lakhs each for the deceased.
