Guargum futures traded lower by Rs 60 to Rs 5,130 per quintal in futures trading today as participants cut down their bets amid a weak trend at the spot markets due to subdued demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for delivery in June month contracts was trading lower by Rs 60, or 1.16 per cent to Rs 5,130 per quintal, in an open interest of 33,073 lots.
Also, guargum for July month contract slided by Rs 60, or 1.14 per cent to Rs 5,210 per quintal, with an open interest of 14,960 lots.
Marketmen said apart from profit booking by traders, low demand at the spot markets mainly weighed on guargum prices at futures trade here.
