At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for delivery in May month contracts up by Rs 80, or 1.29 per cent to Rs 6,290 per quintal, having an open interest of 26,359 lots.
Also, delivery in June month contracts was up by Rs 80, or 1.27 per cent to Rs 6,380 per quintal, in an open interest of 17,692 lots.
Market analysts attributed rise in guargum prices at futures trade to building up of positions by traders, supported by a firm trend at the domestic market on strong demand and positive global cues.
