Around 700 guest teachers today boycotted invigilation duty here and also held a protest at the block's education office.
They were protesting against the reported affidavit filed by the state government in the Punjab and Haryana High Court stating that the guest teachers will be relieved.
The guest teachers boycotted the invigilation duty for the exams of classes VI to VIII and also raised slogans against the state government.
Guest teacher's leader Randhir Mor alleged that the state government has shown its true face and families of thousands of guest teachers will be affected.
Meanwhile, a letter issued by Block Basic Education Officer Satbir Saingroha said that the Junior Basic Teachers and Principals have been made permanent in the district.
