Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay and party MP Ramesh Bidhuri met the guest teachers at Jantar Mantar this evening and told them they fully supported the demands.
The protesters had started their hunger strike on July 9.
Earlier in the day, Upadhyay also wrote to Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on behalf of the guest teachers.
According to BJP, the letter, while supporting the cause of the agitating teachers, states that efforts must be made to give guest teachers preference while engaging teachers permanently.
