The body of an unidentified girl, about three years old, was found dumped at an isolated place in Pandesara locality in Surat city of Gujarat today, police said.
The body had injury marks, and it was likely that the girl was killed and then dumped at the spot, said Deputy Commissioner of Police B R Pandor.
Police are waiting for autopsy report, he added.
Notably, the body of a nine-year-old girl had been found from the same locality in April this year. The girl had been sexually assaulted and then killed, as per the autopsy report.
Police had said that both the girl and her mother were murdered by a person who had brought them here as bonded labourers. The alleged culprit was subsequently arrested.
