Two men, who allegedly robbed employees of an agency, which looks after cash deposits in ATMs, of Rs 22 lakhs have been arrested, police said today.
A press release from the police said the staff of Writer Safeguard Private Limited - M Praveen Kumar and M Hari Krishna - were carrying the cash to deposit it in an ATM on August 4 when they were waylaid and robbed of the money.
Based on a complaint, a police team was formed and investigations revealed an insider job.
The police detained an employee of the agency, Arunjee Naveen and he confessed to have passed on information to his friend Prasad and he committed the robbery.
