Every year, Gujarat government organises state-level functions for the Republic Day and Independence Day at different district headquarters and this time it will be held in Khambhalia, Health Minister and spokesperson of state government, Nitin Patel said.
State Governor O P Kohli and Chief Minister Anandi Patel will participate in the flag hoisting function on the occasion.
The chief minister will dedicate some of the projects initiated by her government in that district to people on that day, he said.
The trend of celebrating national days in different parts of the state was started by then chief minister and incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said.
