Gujarat and Tamil Nadu share points from drawn Ranji match

Gujarat and Tamil Nadu today shared one point each after their Group B Ranji Trophy match ended in an inevitable draw following the wash out of the first three days, here today.
Not a ball could be bowled in the first three days as torrential rain lashed the Indian Cement Company Ground here.
On the fourth and final day today, Gujarat came out to bat after being inserted by the hosts and Priyank Panchal (90) and Bhargav Merai (68) came up with superb innings and shared 158 runs for the second wicket as the visitors reached 195 for two in 63 overs.
Panchal blasted nine boundaries, while Merai had seven fours in his 153-ball innings.
Malolan Rangarajan (1/39) and DT Chandrasekar (1/42) picked one wicket each for Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu will next take on Punjab at Chennai, while Gujarat will face Mumbai in Mumbai from December 1.
