The budget session of the Gujarat Assembly will begin from tomorrow and continue until July 30. On the first day of the session, Gujarat state finance minister Saurabh Patel will present the budget.
Earlier in March, the Gujarat state government headed by then chief minister Narendra Modi had presented a vote-on-account due to the Parliament elections.
Opposition Congress is also geared for the budget session, and is likely to take on the new government on issues of law and order, corruption in the allotment of Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) draws which were later canceled by the state government and water shortage due to delayed monsoon.
