Gujarat government appoints two more information commissioners

Gujarat government has appointed two more state information commissioners who took oath administered by Governor Kamla Beniwal here today.
The newly-appointed commissioners are Sridevi Shukla and B G Panchasara. After their appointment, the Gujarat Information Commission has four State Information Commissioners, including V S Gadhvi and Balwant Singh who were appointed earlier.
The Gujarat Information Commission is headed by Chief Information Commissioner D Rajgopalan.
During his election campaign in Gujarat, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had alleged Gujarat government had no plans to appoint an information commissioner.
