The Gujarat government has decided to celebrate the state's foundation day at local level in all district headquarters along with one state-level celebration, on the lines of the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, according to a press release issued here today.
Patel will reach Vyara in the morning and address a large gathering of women after which she will inaugurate various developmental projects for Vyara.
On the eve of the Gujarat's foundation day, Patel said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given new hopes to the nation and uplifted India's image worldwide.
She also thanked the Modi-led central government for resolving many long-pending issues of Gujarat, like permission to install gates on the Narmda Dam.
Two states, Gujarat and Maharashtra were formed from the erstwhile Bombay state on May 1, 1960.
