Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGM) has written a letter to Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi for seeking his support in its demand for reservation in Legislative Council and the state Assembly.

It also demanded reservation in Block Development Councils (BDC).

"We demand political reservation in BDCs, Legislative Council and Assembly for Gujjar and Bakarwals so that their voice is represented in different sectors in Jammu and Kashmir," ABGM president of J-K chapter Eshfaq-Ur-Rehman Poswal said here today.

In the letter to Rahul, the outfit also sought the Congress leader's intervention in the unemployment issue of Jammu and Kashmir youths.

He said that the recent uproar in the state Assembly by some youths is an indication of frustration that they are facing due to unemployment.
