A gun, which was snatched from a guard at a bank in south Kashmir's Shopian district, was recovered, a police spokesman said today.
He said efforts of the police and the community led to the recovery of a 12 bore rifle, which was forcibly taken by some miscreants from the guard of the J&K bank branch Pinjura in Shopian this afternoon.
On the basis of information developed by the police, the families of the boys were contacted.
The gun was recovered and the boys were let-off after proper counselling, the spokesman said.He said police acknowledges the community endeavour for recovery of the gun in less than six hours.
